Functionality

Drive Safe utilizes the mobile phone's sensors and location services to detect the start and end of each journey, evaluating driving behavior throughout. The scoring mechanism assesses various factors:

• Mobile phone usage while driving

• Sharp or aggressive acceleration
• Driving during high-risk hours (midnight to 5 AM)

Designed for efficiency, Drive Safe minimizes battery consumption significantly. When not in use, its impact is negligible (less than 1% per 24 hours), while during active driving, it ranges between 3-5% per hour. Notably, the app operates without an internet connection; however, enabling Wi-Fi or mobile data is advisable to enhance data logging quality.
