The Drive Safe mobile app provides users with insights into their driving patterns, aiding in the reduction of road traffic accidents while also offering potential discounts on insurance renewals.

Through the Drive Safe app, users receive detailed feedback at the end of each journey, including a score ranging from 0 to 100. This scoring system enables drivers to identify specific areas for improvement, facilitating immediate adjustments on subsequent trips. Additionally, users can track their driving performance over time and compare it with that of other drivers. The app also indicates whether they may qualify for a discount on their insurance with General Insurance of Cyprus.

Functionality
Drive Safe utilizes the mobile phone's sensors and location services to detect the start and end of each journey, evaluating driving behavior throughout. The scoring mechanism assesses various factors:

 <li>Speeding violations</li>
 <li>Mobile phone usage while driving</li>
 <li>Sudden or aggressive braking</li>
 <li>Sharp or aggressive acceleration</li>
 <li>Driving during high-risk hours (midnight to 5 AM)</li>
</ul>
The final score for each trip reflects these criteria, encouraging safer driving habits.

Alongside journey scoring, the app provides a comprehensive analysis outlining specific aspects where improvements can be made, promoting overall development in driving skills.

Battery Use and Connectivity
Designed for efficiency, Drive Safe minimizes battery consumption significantly. When not in use, its impact is negligible (less than 1% per 24 hours), while during active driving, it ranges between 3-5% per hour. Notably, the app operates without an internet connection; however, enabling Wi-Fi or mobile data is advisable to enhance data logging quality.
